Srinagar, April 24 (KNO) : Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, a body of Kashmiri Students here on today urged the J&K Governor and HRD Ministry to take up the issue of arranging NEET examination centre in the Kashmir Valley. In a statement issued to KNO, Spokesperson of Association Nasir Khuehami said that the NEET centres for Kashmiri students should be allotted in the Kashmir Valley. He said as a maximum number of students have been allotted centres outside Kashmir, it becomes difficult for them to appear in the examination. He also termed the decision as sheer injustice with students. He said that it will be very inconvenient for the Kashmiri Students to travel all the way and spend money on accommodation in other states if their examination centres are not arranged locally. This is a grave situation especially for the students belonging to the average income group who can't afford the travel and accommodation expenses, he said. He said that, After Pulwama attack, it has become very difficult for Kashmiri students to get accommodation in other states, adding that it will create inconvenience. He hoped that J&K Governor will take up this issue at the appropriate level.(KNO)
